Bruce A. Schoenwald works in litigation for matters including personal injury, business, and other general civil matters, employment, and insurance. He has acquired a liking for finding solutions for medical employment and licensing disputes.
Mr. Schoenwald practiced for many years in an insurance defense firm in San Diego, California. Prior to moving to California, he was with the law firm of Eaton, Van de Streek, and Ward in Minot, N.D.
Mr. Schoenwald received his J.D. from the University of North Dakota in 1982. He is a member of the Cass County (North Dakota) Bar Association, where he has served in the offices of secretary/treasurer and vice-president, and the Clay County (Minnesota) Bar Association.
In the general election held in 2004, Mr. Schoenwald was the Democratic-NPL candidate for the Office of Attorney General in North Dakota. With this experience, he wrote a law review article on campaign finance titled A Conundrum in a Quagmire: Unraveling North Dakota's Campaign Finance Law published in Volume 82:1 of the 2006 North Dakota Law Review. He has been admitted to practice before the North Dakota, Minnesota, and California bars.
